When we hit the road we will try T-Mobile or Verizon. Surrounded by ATT towers so we have two elite ATT plans and turn our elite plan into a router. I live in a spot with no access to internet so we are all cellular. You should be able to identify a Verizon tower on most websites that provide tower info. Popular cell carrier and learn to identify and find cell towers. And also how tf do you know how many gb you'll need? Thank you! Given that info what carriers/plans/hotspot devices would you recommend? Is it worth getting something to amplify the connection? I was leaning towards Verizon or Visible for a cheaper option, but am curious if it's worth getting two cheaper options like Visible and Cricket for more coverage. I'll also probably spend several hours a week online just for personal use but, again, nothing wild. I only work 10 hr/wk mostly doing administrative stuff that doesn't take a ton of bandwidth like accessing and editing docs on OneDrive which could easily be downloaded and done offline, the most intensive thing I'll probably do is have Zoom calls with my boss which, worst case scenario, could be done over the phone instead. And am hoping to avoid cities as much as I can. I'll definitely be going to Red Rock, Zion, Moab, Joshua Tree, Bishop, Mammoth and the Cascades in Washington and Oregon. New Mexico, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Nevada, California, maybe Colorado. I'm planning to be on the road for 5-6 months, largely hoping to climb/hike/backpack etc in the West/Southwest i.e. Sorry to be probably the millionth person asking this question, but I read through a lot of posts and just confused myself more.
